From M62: junction 24, Halifax and Ainley Top From the major roundabout at Ainley Top (Junction 24 of M62) follow the signs for Huddersfield down the A629 Halifax Road. At the major T junction (Cavalry Arms pub on the right) turn left down Birkby Road (which becomes Birkby Hall Road). Follow the road for roughly a mile. Turn left into Ashfield Road or Elmfield Road just after the Nuffield Hospital. From Huddersfield Ring Road Follow St John's Road through the lights at Blacker Road and turn left up Birkby Hall Road. Turn right into Elmfield Road or Ashfield Road. or Follow the signs for Halifax on to the A629. After roughly one and half miles turn right at the T junction (Cavalry Arms pub on the left) onto Birkby Road (which becomes Birkby Hall Road) Follow the road for roughly a mile. Turn left into Ashfield Road or Elmfield Road just after the Nuffield Hospital. Oakfield Tennis Club is in a square between Elmfield and Ashfield Roads. Strangely, it's not on nearby Oakfield Road! |
