Bowling at Oakfield

The bowling green typically opens at Easter and is available for play through to at least early October. Bowlers often get together for general play on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sunday afternoons. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and, whatever your standard of play, you are welcome to come along and join in.

Bowling leagues
In 2011, Oakfield entered teams in the Veterans League and Works League for the first time, giving bowlers an opportunity to compete against other clubs.

Competitions
For those of a competitive nature, there are monthly Scrambles, normally held on the 1^st Sunday of the month.

The club also hold annual Championships for members in the following categories:- Men's Singles, Ladies' Singles, Men's Pairs, Ladies' Pairs, Mixed Pairs, Triples and an Open Championship.
